Manchester is a city that encourages everyone to be proud, and we’re definitely proud to be supporting Manchester Pride in the 2022 celebrations.

From 26-27 August, experts from some of your favourite beauty stores at Manchester Arndale will be offering glitter face art, Pride-themed eye makeup, hair braiding, glitter beards and more – so you look and feel amazing for the weekend.

In return for a £2 donation to the Manchester Pride charity, the team from Morphe, Debenhams.com Beauty and Supercuts will out on the mall and ready to give you the ultimate Pride makeover.

Join us at the makeover stations from 12pm-7pm on Friday and Saturday and once you’ve had your makeover, snap and share a selfie in front of our giant PROUD letters. Don’t forget to tag Manchester Arndale for your chance to feature on our social channels!

Manchester Pride are committed to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people in Greater Manchester and beyond. They are part of a global pride movement that celebrates advancements in equality and challenges discrimination faced by LGBTQ+ people.

Every penny donated goes directly to supporting LGBTQ+ causes and projects in Greater Manchester.

PROUD

From 20 August –4 September, Manchester BID proudly presents Proud, an audio-visual exhibition, created by Heard Storytelling, to celebrate Manchester’s LGBTQIA+ community. Work your way along the city’s shopping streets to discover 20 beautiful large-scale portraits and scan the QR codes to hear spoken stories from LGBTQIA+ storytellers who live or work in the city.

From the streets of Jamaica, stages of Manchester, dressing rooms of working men’s clubs and the nation’s TV screens, these tales take listeners on personal and candid journeys, all focused on the theme ‘Proud’.

Find part of the Proud exhibition here at the Arndale, opposite Superdrug on the lower mall until 4 September.
