Mark the arrival of Halloween with a host of monstrously good events taking place in the Arndale and across Manchester city centre.
Featuring a giant rooftop monster invasion, Monsters Rock! Music Festival with spooky DJs, live performances, gruesome games and competitions, plus carnival rides, fancy-dress and Walk the Plank’s legendary monster procession.

Team Trick v Team Treat Challenge
Are you Team Trick or Team Treat? Head to New Cathedral Street, near Zara, pick up a wristband, choose a side and take part in a host of ghoulish games to win points for your team.
Can you play air guitar? At the Monster Rock Out stage in the Arndale you can win points for your team by hopping on stage and rocking out with the monsters. Head to Exchange Court, dust off your air guitar and show us your best rock, mosh and head-bang to our electric soundtrack!
Make sure you take part in as many games across the city centre to win extra points for your team:
- GAME 1 – Monster Portaloos, New Cathedral Street
- GAME 2 – VIP Area 51 Password Hunt, Exchange Square
- GAME 3 – Monster Rock Out, Manchester Arndale
- GAME 4 – Lost and Found, Exchange Street
- GAME 5 – Skeleton Hoopla, St Ann’s Square
Come in fancy dress to win bonus points and keep an eye out for spot prizes throughout the weekend. Make sure to head to the Main Stage in Exchange Square at 4.30pm each day to see which team is crowned the winner.

The unmissable roaming performance from Walk the Plank is back this year! Expect a crazy procession of monster puppets, giant skeletons, stilt walkers and five-piece band. Catch the procession on 28 – 29 October at 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm roaming through the Arndale and out onto Market Street.
