October Half Term Activities at Manchester Arndale

Looking for things to do with the kids in Manchester?

It might feel like the kids have only just gone back to school, but October half term 2024 is already around the corner! With Halloween at the end of the month, families can look forward to a whole host of wickedly wonderful events, workshops and interactive experiences. It’s the ideal spot for seasonal fun, all while getting in some shopping!

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store this half term…

Monstrous mayhem incoming! 

*WARNING* Halloween in the City is BACK and it’s bigger, bolder and spookier than ever!

The two-day, FREE, family-friendly festival returns on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th October and this year, we’re bringing the Monsters Rock! Music Festival to Exchange Court (near Next) with live bands, DJs, gruesome games and spine-tingling competitions! Plus, keep your eyes peeled for the Rock! Party Procession complete with giant puppets and stilt walkers parading through Manchester Arndale and Market Street at 11.30am / 1.30pm / 3.30pm.

Don’t forget to join the Eyeball Hunt and catch all the action at Exchange Square, New Cathedral Street, St Ann’s Square and of course, Manchester Arndale!

Creeping it real with Lush

Prepare for a frightfully fun time with Lush’s jam-packed schedule of October half-term activities! Dive into the spooky spirit with their 45-minute, hands-on, haunt-tacular workshops that are sure to thrill.

Want to join the fun? Simply book in-store (workshop prices match the cost of a product) and craft your very own “I Want My Mummy” bath bomb. Every participant will take home their creepy creation!

Workshops are running every weekend from 12 – 4pm at Lush.

Kids Eat Free at Pizza Hut

This spooky season, Pizza Hut Restaurants are offering a fantastic deal for families! Until Sunday 3rd November, kids can enjoy a free unlimited kids buffet every day until 3pm when you spend £10 on any other food items.

Free “Make and Take” at LEGO

Spin your way into a web of fun this Halloween! Head to Lego at Manchester Arndale on Saturday 26th October (10am – 12pm), or Sunday 27th October (12pm – 2pm), to build your very own LEGO® Spider.

Perfect for little builders aged 6+, this frightfully fun event is free! But beware – supplies are limited and first-come, first-served!

Each guest can make just one spooky spider, so crawl on over early to claim yours before they vanish into the night.

Free Family Events at The Entertainer

This October half-term, the amazing team at The Entertainer at Manchester Arndale are hosting free, family-friendly events from 11am – 3pm.

Enjoy exciting demonstrations and competitions, including RC Cars on Saturday, Pitter Patter Pets on Monday and Friday, a Disney Wish Walk ‘n’ Talk event on Wednesday and NERF demos on Saturday. Plus, there are chances to win prizes, find out more here.
