Manchester’s About to Go Super Duper!

Looking for things to do with kids in Manchester? You’re in luck! Get ready for four action-packed days filled with free half-term activities this February! The Super Duper Family Festival is rolling into town from Saturday 15th to Tuesday 18th February 2025, turning the city into one giant playground and we can’t wait to join the party!

With the festival promising free things to do with kids in Manchester, there’s something for everyone – from games and dancing to crafts and performances. You’ll find six vibrant Play Zones scattered across the city: The Playground, The Party, The Garden, The Carnival, The Arcade and The Sports Hall. Whether you’re into sports, live music or street food (and who isn’t?), there’s no shortage of things to do with kids in Manchester this half-term.

What’s Happening at Manchester Arndale?

Get ready to go green and get crafty at our Big Green Leaf event, part of The Garden Zone in the Super Duper Family Festival. This eco-tastic hub, located in Exchange Court (inside near Next), is your ticket to hands-on fun with activities that’ll have your little ones buzzing (literally!).

But what’s underneath the Big Green Leaf? Families are shrunk down to the size of an insect and invited to join Walter Droplet, Litter Bug, Worm Marie and the compost king himself, William Wormsworth, to learn all about how brilliant our planet is.

Each day will include an interactive story from William Wormsworth alongside lively lessons and eco-themed activities from 12-5pm:

Saturday 15th February – Easy Bee-zy: This is all about beeing kind to the clever creatures that help our food grow in our garden. Craft your own bee finger puppet and learn all about pollination. Bonus points if you master the waggle dance before you leave – it’s unbeelievable fun!

Sunday 16th February – A Bugs Life: Build a bug hotel from bamboo sticks and give your garden’s mini-beasts the five-star treatment. Who knew helping nature could be so cute?

Monday 17th February – Grow Your Own Adventure: Make flower-seeded paper crafts that double as a promise to explore the great outdoors. Plant it at home and watch the magic happen!

Tuesday 18th February – Recycle and Race: Join The Green Team for a laugh-out-loud game of sorting waste. Grabbers at the ready, it’s all about speed, smarts and saving the planet.
