What We’re Loving This Month
Posted 19 minutes ago | In What we're loving this month...October at Manchester Arndale
There’s something in the air this October and it’s not just the autumn chill. Manchester is gearing up for its most spectacular Halloween yet and Manchester Arndale is right at the heart of it. From larger-than-life monsters and citywide celebrations, to beauty pop-ups, candle hauls and new-season fashion, it’s the perfect time to eat, shop and play in the city.
Here’s everything you need to know about what’s on this month.

Meet Rocky Boo-Boa
The monsters are back in town and they’re bigger, bolder and scarier than ever. From 25th – 31st October, Manchester Arndale will be home to Rocky Boo-Boa, a giant inflatable rock monster designed by creative legends Designs in Air.
Snap a selfie with him (if you dare) and follow the Manchester Monster Trail across the city to spot even more spooky creatures lurking on rooftops and in public squares. It’s all part of the city’s Halloween magic that has become a must-see tradition.

Halloween in the City
Manchester doesn’t do things by halves and Halloween in the City proves it. On Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th October, the streets will be alive with spooky sights, live performances, fancy-dress parades and DJs dropping frightfully good beats.
Manchester Arndale will be buzzing too, with monsters overhead and plenty of Halloween fun indoors. Whether you’re showing off your costume, hunting down creepy photo ops, or just soaking up the atmosphere with friends, this is one weekend you’ll want to clear your diary for.

Spook Up Your Space
If you’re the type to transform your flat into a haunted house (or just want a little autumn ambience), Manchester Arndale has you covered.
Flying Tiger is serving up all-out Halloween drama with playful, quirky decorations. Think bats, webs and plenty of unique pieces for spooky season.
Next takes a more grown-up approach so expect chic autumnal décor, soft textures and candles that whisper “cosy night in” rather than “haunted mansion.” Perfect if you just want your home to feel like a Pinterest-perfect autumnal escape.
TK Maxx is basically the holy grail of Halloween hauls, with shelves stacked high with everything from ghostly trinkets to luxury seasonal candles.
And don’t even think about skipping Yankee Candle – with rich, seasonal scents (yes, Pumpkin Spice makes an appearance), it’s the finishing touch your October nights need.
