This month, we’re all about seasonal surprises. From bold floral installations to exclusive food collabs and unbeatable offers, there’s loads happening in and around Manchester Arndale to make the most of the longer days. Here’s what we’re into right now…
Manchester Flower Festival
Nothing says summer’s nearly here quite like the return of the Manchester Flower Festival. Running across the late May Bank Holiday (Friday 23rd – Monday 26th May), it’s your chance to soak up stunning floral installations dotted around the city – all totally free!
This year, we’re proud to be hosting a brand new showstopper inside Manchester Arndale: The Gateway to Osaka. Created by Visual Architects, this dreamy floral escape is inspired by Manchester’s connection with Japan. Expect a hand-painted torii gate, adorned with hand painted cherry blossoms and set above an image of a serene koi carp pond.
The installation forms part of a larger trail that transforms the city centre with themed decorations and green installations alongside live music, entertainment, alfresco food and drink, talks, demonstrations, processions and workshops. Starbucks New Summer Menu
Say hello to three new tiramisu-inspired iced drinks that are equal parts indulgent and Instagrammable: Tiramisu Frappuccino, Tiramisu Cream Iced Latte and Tiramisu Cream Iced Oat Shaken Espresso.
Into something a little more fruity? Try one of the summer drinks in the new Refresha range. The Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Refresha and Melon Pearl Refresha are giving serious holiday vibes in a cup – perfect for sipping while you explore the Manchester flower festival installations.
Peckish? the Starbucks food menu has just had a glow-up too. Think fresh chicken salad sandwich, the gooey Boston Cream Muffin, or a slice of Raspberry and Coconut Loaf Cake – all perfect summer food picks!

Krispy Kreme Pistachio Doughnut
Manchester collab of dreams incoming! Krispy Kreme has teamed up with local dessert legends Black Milk Manchester to create a limited-edition Pistachio Overload doughnut and yes, it tastes as good as it sounds.
Filled with Black Milk Manchester’s signature pistachio cream and topped with candied pistachios and white chocolate drizzle, it’s rich, nutty and only here until 25th May.
If you’ve not tried Black Milk Manchester yet – they’re a proper Manchester dessert staple, known for milkshakes, pancakes and sweet treats that hit the spot every time. This collab is a love letter to indulgence and we’re here for it.
