Manchester’s Supersonic Summer Starts Here

This summer, Manchester is electric. With Oasis back on stage, a wave of music fans in town and long, warm days made for exploring, the city is buzzing. Whether you’re heading to a gig or just making the most of the sunshine, now’s the time to lean into the mood.

From gig outfit inspo to street-style fashion with a functional twist, limited-edition beauty drops and a guitar trail celebrating Manchester’s iconic music legacy, there’s plenty to discover this July in and around Manchester Arndale.

The Guitar Trail That’s Got Manchester Buzzing

Oasis are back. 1.3 million fans are expected in the city. And Manchester is celebrating with Music for the Senses – a city-wide art trail of 48 artist-designed guitars paying tribute to our legendary music scene. As part of MCR Live ’25, these striking sculptures are dotted all over the city from now until 31st August.

Be sure to visit our neighbours at Represent on New Cathedral Street to see Legacy – a custom-painted guitar by artist Tim Robinson that honours the city’s sound and spirit. Scan the QR code in-store to unlock a chance at one of four limited-edition keyrings inspired by the artwork.

Gorpcore with GO Outdoors

With summer in full swing, day trips, camping weekends and countryside escapes are calling. Enter: Gorpcore, the fashion trend built for UK getaways and city coffee runs. If you’ve spotted people in waterproof jackets, cargo pants and wraparound sunnies grabbing flat whites – congrats, you’ve met Gorpcore! (Fun fact: “Gorp” stands for Good Ol’ Raisins and Peanuts, the trail mix snack that inspired the look.)

Whether you’re heading to the Peaks or just want to master that utility-chic vibe, GO Outdoors inside Manchester Arndale is your one-stop-shop. From weatherproof layers and fleece pullovers to practical accessories that are surprisingly stylish, they’ve got the real deal – not just the look. Go practical. Go fashionable. Go… well, outdoors.

Arc’teryx Manchester

Arc’teryx Now Open

Known for cutting-edge outerwear that climbers swear by and fashion fans now covet, the two-floor space blends tech gear with creative community. Expect hands-on gear zones, a ReBIRD Service Centre for repairs and a dedicated events floor for talks, art and film.

Whether you’re scaling rock faces or scaling the tram steps, this is high-performance gear with major street appeal.
