Autumn/Winter 2020 is here and what better excuse to upgrade your wardrobe! Our team took to the floors of the Centre to gain some fashion inspiration and trends from some of our loveliest mancunian shoppers.
We chatted to Deanna about her outfit choice for the day, her style is classic and minimal, wearing a cream v neck jumper, white tee, black culottes with black socks and sandals. When talking to us Deanna said: ‘This outfit is more stylish and loose, the jumper is a centrepiece adding a flare of colour to what would have been a plain look. I’d say it’s ideal for Autumn through to Winter when it gets colder!’
We clearly caught Curtis on a warm day- who remembers the joy of wearing a pair of shorts! Curtis explained that his fashion style is “cool, keeping it casual with a touch of urban streetwear. It’s a comfy but also a confident look!” We completely agree with Curtis. You can shop his outfits over on his instagram page.. @curtisroscoex
Amber, a regular Arndale shopper told us, “I love to follow streetwear trends but put my own edge on it and get creative. I also take a lot of inspiration from people I see in day to day life, Mancunians are so stylish!” Check out more of Amber’s looks over on her insta @amber.mayy
We stopped Courtnay in her tracks to ask about her outfit and style for shopping. She said ‘Topshop jeans, white vest, Adidas trainers and a beige jacket. I’m dressed for work, I like to go for a casual but stylish look. Something that’s both trendy but versatile for work is what I aim for!’ Love it, Courtnay!
Jed & Jamie
Two students Jed (left) & Jamie (right) were out shopping in their latest look. Jed is wearing a Paul Smith jumper, black joggers and Nike Air Force 1 trainers. When speaking about his outfit choice he told us ‘I was going to wear a Primark top but decided last minute to wear a Paul Smith jumper. It’s a comfy outfit to lounge in and wear during long lectures.’
Jamie then told us about his fashion choice and why he’s chosen to wear his outfit, Billionaires boys club t-shirt with black Nike joggers. Jamie went on to say ‘This is more of a casual outfit, an oversized t-shirt with a large logo, it’s simple but a good look that’s easy-going and comfy.’
Pasquale & Hannah
Pasquale (left) and Hannah (right) headed over to Manchester from Sheffield for the day to go shopping in Manchester. Pasquale describes his style choice as ‘I went for an Adidas t-shirt with white jeans finished off with a pair of practical Dr Martens boots. This outfit is stylish and trendy. A comfortable look that keeps up with our ever-changing fashion scene.’
Hannah then told us ‘I’m wearing a pair of Dr Martens boots, black and white gingham ruffle neck top with a pair of blue jeans. The top I’m wearing has such a nice thickness to it. It’s high quality and super warm which is great for the coming months when it starts to get cold outside.
Sophia is another regular face on the Manchester fashion scene, definitely take a look at her Instagram for some laid back yet bang-on-trend outfit inspiration. (@evasophialoves) She said “If I had to put a label on my style I’d called it ‘Functional Pretty!’ I love pretty floral dresses, teamed with trainers or chunky boots. They’re needed for running after and keeping up with my kids! I also love a leather biker jacket, I invested in this one 3 years ago and it’s still going strong!’
Last but not least we spoke to the very friendly Laura who was kind enough to give us a few words about her fashion. She said “I’d say my style is casual and understated mixed with statement details. My looks are usually a combination of effortless and edgy. Things like mom jeans and trainers with a cool tee or crop top, and I always like to accessorise with little details to finish a look. My go-to is usually chunky gold hoops and a designer bag to complete the look.” Check out her instagram and blog for more where this came from! @laurakatelucas
