We know it’s the season of dark mornings, wet weekends, and turning the heating on, but there’s nothing quite like Autumn/Winter fashion. The chunky knits, comfy jeans, new boots, oversized cardis, ‘proper’ coats and warm jumpers. The A/W collections have landed at the Arndale and trust us, after months of not being able to shop properly, you guys are in for a treat. We have everything you need to get ready for the new season, all under one roof.

To get you in the mood for hitting the stores and give you some inspiration, check out our new Fashion Worth Following campaign video. It’s all about how you wear it…

Then check out what our retailers have to say about their most loved items.

Monki

First of all we headed to Monki to speak to Meg, who predicted that anything easy going and simple is going to be a hit for Autumn/Winter. As you can see from Meg’s selections, it’s all about comfort and practically at Monki.

Shirt Jacket

“This Shirt Jacket is a staple transitional piece. It’s perfect as it isn’t as heavy as a coat but heavier than a jumper. Ideal for Autumn through to Winter when it gets cold!

Flare Jeans

“A classic flare, high waisted and comfortable. A timeless piece which will add a bit of a kick to any outfit!”

Handbag

“This bag is great, it’s big enough to get all your essentials in, and fits really nice on the shoulder. It’s both stylish and practical which is always a winner!”

River Island

Mike at River Island had put together three Autumn/Winter outfits for us. He talked us through each piece and showed us that casual and comfortable can still be bang on-trend.

Outfit 1

“This is a casual outfit which features the on-trend oversized hood, tailoring and stiletto sandals. It will keep you looking good and feeling comfy at the same time.” Everyone’s favourite combo.

Outfit 2

The casual standout outfit! This leopard print skirt, chunky boots and boxy bag, will take you from a shopping trip to an afternoon brunch. We love this look.

Outfit 3

Pairing this striking blue suit with trainers just instantly takes this outfit to another level.

Topshop

Abbie at Topshop gave us some great insight into the pieces which are proving a hit in store, and will be a great addition to any Autumn/Winter wardrobe.

Dress

Abbie loved this dress, “It’s a really flattering fit and is a great transitional piece.” Anything that you can get more wear out of is always a good thing!

Tie Joggers

“These joggers are an absolute staple. Stylish joggers are an easy way to make a basic item more fashionable.”

Cardigan

“This cardigan is great for layering, it will be perfect for Autumn to throw over a t-shirt but then will also work in Winter when you need to wear a jumper underneath too.”

Morphe

We nipped into Morphe to speak to Zoe, who talked us through a selection of their new products which will be essential to update your look for the new season.

Lip hits

“This trio is great, it contains brown nudes that are perfect for autumn. You could wear the 3 colours by themselves or pair them up, so it’s a really versatile product.”

Lanolip multi-purpose super balm

“Again, another super versatile product, this multipurpose super balm can be used on skin and lips. It’s a hydrating balm which works to seal in moisture, perfect for the colder months ahead.”

35c everyday chic artistry palette

“A perfect pallet to take the look from day to night, ranging from the natural nudes to your smokey fall colours.”

Footasylum

We got a great insight into some of the most popular trainers this season from Kara at Footasylum. She was a fountain of knowledge, a great person to speak to for anyone wanting some advice on which pair to go for next.

Nike Blazers 77’ vintage

“A classic all-round sneaker that has a rich vintage aesthetic for the more casual urban outfits. With soft suede detailing, cushioned collar and the iconic Nike Swoosh.”

Adidas Gazelles

“An original iconic trainer. Instantly likeable, the Gazelles are fashionable and the centrepiece of any outfit. Also best protected with a suitable suede protector.”

Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro

“Inspired by an original that first landed in 1985, it’s an iconic fresh take on the trainer.”
