AND You Might Want to Clear Some Space in Your Wardrobe!
Manchester loves a good hidden gem.
Whether it’s a vintage football shirt hidden at the back of a rail, a band tee that somehow survived three decades, or a jacket that looks like it belongs in your wardrobe before you’ve even tried it on, there’s something satisfying about uncovering a gem that nobody else has spotted.
That’s exactly why we’re excited to welcome Charity Super.Mkt to Manchester Arndale this July.
For three days only, the UK’s first multi-charity pre-loved fashion store is taking over Exchange Court, bringing together an expertly curated collection of second-hand fashion from some of the country’s biggest and best-loved charities.
And yes, there will be football shirts.
So, What’s Charity Super.Mkt?
Think charity shopping, but reimagined.
Instead of hopping between different stores hoping to strike gold, Charity Super.Mkt brings together fashion from multiple charities under one roof, creating a shopping experience packed with unique finds, vintage treasures and one-off pieces.
Expect everything from desirable denim and standout outerwear to band tees, retro sportswear and those items that make you wonder why anyone ever donated them in the first place.
Participating charities include the British Heart Foundation and RSPCA.
It’s sustainable shopping without the compromise. Better for your wardrobe, better for the planet and better for the causes you’re supporting.
A Manchester Story
There’s another reason this pop-up feels right at home in Manchester.
Charity Super.Mkt is co-founded by Wayne Hemingway MBE, a name that holds serious weight in British fashion.
Before sustainable fashion became a buzzword, Wayne and his wife Gerardine were building Red or Dead, the iconic British fashion brand that started its journey right here in Manchester.
Some of their earliest retail spaces were in Afflecks, helping shape the independent fashion culture that still defines the city today.
From Afflecks to the Northern Quarter and beyond, second-hand style has been part of the city’s DNA for decades. Charity Super.Mkt feels like a natural extension of that story.
Why Manchester Loves Pre-Loved
There Manchester’s fashion scene has always thrived on individuality. It’s a city built on mixing old with new, designer with vintage, football culture with music culture and everything in between.
That’s why pre-loved shopping feels less like a trend and more like something Manchester has been doing all along.
The beauty of Charity Super.Mkt is that every rail offers something different. No endless scrolling. No algorithm deciding what you should wear. Just great clothes waiting to be discovered.
