Spring has officially arrived and Manchester Arndale is the perfect place to make the most of it. With Easter around the corner and the school holidays in full swing, there’s plenty happening to keep little ones entertained and give you a good excuse to spend the day out. Whether you’re planning ahead or just seeing where the day takes you, here’s what’s on this April.
Family Activities
If you’re looking for something easy, fun and a little bit magical, Storytime at Waterstones is always a winner. The next session takes place on Wednesday 8th April at 10:15, featuring Where the Wild Things Are.
Over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, Lush is hosting a hands-on workshop that’s all about getting stuck in. Make your own Munching Bunny bath bomb to take home, take part in some light-hearted games and pick up some samples!
While you’re here, it’s worth exploring everything else on offer across the centre. From a few friendly rounds at King Pins bowling to the interactive experiences at Urban Playground and Immersive Gamebox, you can easily turn a quick visit into a full day out.

Manchester Jazz Festival Piano Trail
The Manchester Jazz Festival Piano Trail has returned for 2026 and you can find one of the pianos right here in the Arndale on the upper mall near Next.
Running until 31st May, the trail invites everyone to take a seat and play, whether that’s a favourite song, a jazz classic or something completely original. With 18 pianos dotted across the city, it’s a great way to get involved and add a bit of music to your day.

Just in time for World Autism Day 2026, we are now proud to be introducing Sensory Borrow Bags at Manchester Arndale. These are designed to support visitors with autism and sensory processing needs.
Available free of charge, these bags include items such as ear defenders for noise sensitivity and fidget tools to help create a more comfortable shopping experience and are available for both adults and children.
To borrow one during your visit, simply head to the Customer Information Desk on the Lower Mall near Footasylum.
