“We often have a lot more hope for the people walking through our doors, than they do for themselves”
Neil opens a door onto a safe and welcoming space, providing a beacon of hope during the darkest of times.
It’s not just about a bed it’s about opening a door.
Barnabus has been in Manchester supporting people experiencing homelessness for over 30 years, focussing on recovery through person-centred, and trauma informed support. They work with people to break the cycle of homelessness, alleviating the trauma of poverty, and its effects.
Recognising that a bed alone isn’t sufficient, they assist individuals in rebuilding their lives. Their work includes accommodation access, NHS connections, mental health support, detox, benefits setup, and even a befriending service for housed individuals.
