Manchester is undoubtedly one of the best cities in the world, especially for students.
It has it all, it’s cosmopolitan, yet super close to the countryside and the rolling hills of the Peaks. It’s also the birthplace of some of the greatest British musicians in recent history, The Smiths, Joy Division, Oasis, Take That and many more.
If you’re a football fan then you’ve got two premier league clubs on your doorstep. There’s always lots going on, from Parklife, to Manchester International festival, Manchester Marathon to Manchester Pride Festival – and although that’s all on the backburner for now, we hope you’ll get to experience all this over the next three years or so.
We’ve no doubt that you’ll pay us a visit at some point, It’s a rite of passage.

Archies- If you’re going to indulge, then make sure this place is on your list. With ridiculously indulgent waffles, handmade stacked burgers and super tasty milkshakes, you’re sure to curb every craving in the book. Diet starts tomorrow and all that.
The Arndale Market- We can pretty much guarantee that every student who’s ever studied in Manchester has spent an afternoon wandering around the Arndale market, it’s a food lover’s dream. With a range of cuisines from all over the world. For the vegans amongst you (and even if you’re not) – go to Vegan Junkies, we don’t need to say any more.
Five Guys- If you’re after a classic Burger and fries, then this is the best place in town. Fresh, customisable burgers & hand cut fries – it really is a step above the rest.
